APSTA BOARD OF DIRECTORS AND 17TH GENERAL MEETING 2025

The African Peace Support Trainers Association (APSTA) successfully held its Board of Directors and Annual General Meeting on Thursday, 30th January 2025, in Yaoundé, Cameroon. This took place at the Hilton Hotel in Yaoundé. The meeting was officially opened by His Excellency ETOGA GALAX YVES LANDRY, Representative of the Minister for Defence, Cameroon. 26 participants from ten (10) African countries: Ghana, Mali, Nigeria, Cameroon, Egypt, Kenya, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, and Rwanda were represented.

Prior to the Meeting, representatives from all APSTA member institutions led by respective Commandants and Heads of Institutions, paid a courtesy call to the APSTA Headquarters and the Ministry of Defence, Cameroon, on Wednesday, 29th January 2025.  During the visit to the Ministry of Defence, His Excellency BETI ASSOMO Joseph, Minister for Defence, warmly welcomed the delegation, and reaffirmed Cameroon’s support for APSTA’s efforts in enhancing capacities for regional peace and security.

With the successful conclusion of the 2025 APSTA Board of Directors and Annual General Meeting, member institutions reaffirmed their dedication to advancing peace support operations and fostering stronger partnerships for a safer and more stable Africa. The secretariat remains committed to implementing the decisions of the Board Meeting and the Resolutions of the AGM.
