Pursuant to APSTA’s mandate, in 2020 the Chairperson in conjunction with the Management Committee directed the Secretariat to focus on four (4) programme pillars. Pillar I: Policy Review and Pillar II: Research and Study were expected to inform as well as support the operationalization of Pillar III: Training Enhancement – a crucial and pivotal pillar. In turn, these three (3) pillars are to support Pillar IV: Enhancement of APSTA’s Institutions – both the independent Secretariat as well as Member Institutions. Since 2020, the Secretariat implements projects with corresponding activities across the four (4) pillars, in an inter-linked manner. Notably, the enhancement of training (Pillar IV) is accorded a paramount as well as pivotal position among the other pillars, in accordance with the directive and the Association’s mandate.
