A high level APSTA – AU PSOD engagement meeting took place in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia from 19th through to 26th of September 2025. The meeting basically covered two (2) key domains of mutual interest:

  • Programmes – comprises projects and activities identified by the AU PSOD, the implementation of which AU PSOD solicits the support of APSTA, based on the 2008 MoU between both institutions, and which is still in force;
  • Frameworks – driven by the imperatives of implementing projects and activities of AU PSOD, of which APSTA support is solicited, frameworks – both institutional and policy, have been reviewed, to facilitate implementation of such projects and activities identified in ‘1)’ above.

Further engagements are expected as APSTA seeks to execute its mandate and strengthening the capacities of all Member Institutions through the support of partners and the African Union.
