Peace Operations Training Institute (POTI)

The Peace Operations Training Institute provides globally accessible self-paced online, on-demand courses on peace support, humanitarian relief, and security operations at little to no cost to the student. We are committed to bringing essential, practical knowledge to military personnel, police, and civilians working towards peace worldwide.

African National Training Centre E-Learning Platform (NTCELP)

Many national peacekeeping training centres worldwide subscribe to the Institute’s National Training Centre E-Learning Platform (NTCELP). Under NTCELP, national training centres provide their classroom students with a blended learning curriculum that combines their classroom courses with the Institute’s e-learning. Students earn Certificates of Completion jointly issued by both institutions. Students who enrol in POTI e-learning through NTCELP and their national peacekeeping training centre earn a Certificate of Completion (as shown below) that is jointly issued by their national peacekeeping training centre and bears the signatures of their Commandant and the Executive Director of POTI. African Peace Support Trainers Association (APSTA)

The Peace Operations Training Institute is pleased to partner with the African Peace Support Trainers Association (APSTA) to provide e-learning on peacekeeping courses at no cost. POTI offers courses in English, French, and Spanish, as well as others in Arabic and Portuguese. Personnel from African Peace Support Trainers Association may download all course materials, study their courses offline, take each self-scoring End-of-Lesson Quiz, and when they are ready, take the online End-of-Course Examination. Students who pass the examination with a minimum of 75 % receive a Certificate of Completion for each course.

Self-Paced Study : Each course contains all needed reading materials, learning objectives, and self-scoring End-of-Lesson quizzes. At the completion of their studies, students have two opportunities to earn a passing grade of 75% on a unique multiple-choice End-of-Course Examination through their online classroom. Upon passing the exam, they are awarded their own customized Certificate of Completion.

 

Accessibility : Through the POTI website, students may enrol, download their courses, submit their exams, email with their course authors, participate in discussions and webinars, watch introductory course videos, and experience other online features. However, students with no internet access may still receive support through post, fax, or telephone
